So the last few months have been pretty crazy. funhouse won a tattoo contest last week, thanks to all my friends for coming out and supporting me and my shop! special thanks to sarah and justin for parading around on stage to show of some of the work i've done on them! Funhouse will be at tattoolapalooza (www.tattoolapalooza.com) over halloween, were also hosting the after party downtown and doing a skate board show. this isnt going to be our official skate board show, were just going to do an artshow for work funhouse artists have ready on short notice. the party is going to be on halloween, so come decked out in your costumes for a super duper fun time! this past weekend i was up in orange county for a guest spot at outerlimits tattoo to work on a sleeve. thanks to Kari Barba, the costa mesa outerlimits crew for letting me come out and thnaks to nick and christen for coming down for a fourth session on nicks sleeve. i'm still taking appointments for the rest of october and the convention at the end of this month. so let me know asap if you want to get tattooed, if things go the way they have been, i'll be booked up pretty fast.

electric unicorns

started spray painting again, been doing some big tattoos. im putting a skate deck show together with fun house. check for updates on that, it wont be for a couple months the blanks dont get here till friday. mission blvd flooded yesterday, it was raaaaaaaad.

i hate manatees

manatees, the cows of the sea. dear god, creator of all things righteous and both useless and shitty. thank you for making an animal that has no greater purpose than to be fat and ugly and float underneath motorboats and become horribly maimed. no one pities the fucking squirrel that got hit by a car, so why is the manatee an endangered species? i say let the ugly fat bags die off, keep one or two maybe just to laugh, but who really cares? seriously, fuck florida. in elementary school our teacher thought it would be neat to "adopt" an endangered animal. all the other classes got cool shit like whales and chinchillas or sugar gliders or some shit. i was $5 and a permission slip away from "adopting" my very own endangered animal. i should have been excited, instead i was the only 3rd grader protesting this lame decision of biological preservation and sent home with a 'would not participate' letter for my parents to read and sign.

finished some pieces i've been working on. moved to ob. smacking babies... the usual, oh yeah, and riding my bike... EVERY WHERE. its amazing, i wish i could go faster though, so i kinda wanna get like a motorcycle or some shit in the next year :) MTV filmed at our shop for a 'real world' follow up. so look for that spotlight of funhouse on the worlds gayest tv network

so my grandma passed away about a week ago and i went up to bakersfield for the memorial. heres a picture of my mom and cousin (who i hadnt seen in 5 years, so that was nice) and i.

this was truck was parked right in front of the shop, i figured it was an omen, so i drank a pint of wild turkey at the dpi show, they played with fear, it was rad from what i can remember. theres a picture of me wasted with my man... as usual


so because i was out of town and had some cancellations, i've been making all these custom hats for the shop and some friends





i have a couple more available if any one is interested stop down at the shop. custom hats are $40 and $50 for the trucker hats with the bill done

doin the damn thing

so i've been busy as fuck lately, i don't even have time for this blog shit any more really. booking up pretty good for the summer, working on some big shit, started another sleeve yesterday. moving to ocean beach at the end of the month. enjoying the shit out of life, probably getting one of my arms worked on again soon. might do another live painting art show tonight, but got friends in town so maybe not. doing a convention here in san diego with funhouse over halloween. having a blast just seeing the same faces in different place. had a white trash themed art show about 3 weeks ago with a costume contest and meat loaf bake-off. i lost the bake-off but i totally put bacon on mine, so that makes me a winner in my book. fourth of july was a wasted 3 day extravaganza of "how wasted can i get and not crash my bike?" cant wait to move so i can ride my bike to work, cause parking down by the beach is RIDICULOUS and i'm tired of doing it every day. cut back A LOT on drinking and smoking, haven't smoked in 5 days and haven't had more than a couple of drinks in over a week. god i'm good, hahahahahahaa gotta get back to work! so legit.

so the title is deceiving, this blog is about neither, but those are cool... i guess? so i posted a blog entry last week, but for some reason fucking blog spot didn't publish it. so i cried, then i got mad, then i broke my laptop, then i cried again because i broke my lap top. okay, maybe i made that part up, but the part about posting a blog and it not publishing is true. shits been kinda weak lately, had a decent birthday last week. i guess any night has to be worth while if it lasts until 5:30 the next morning. who knows though, i could have just been drunk. actually, i was very drunk... running in the ocean, with leg warmers, that was a bad idea. dear people behind our group of hooligans at the bar trying to have a decent dinner; i apologize for pulling my ass out and screaming obscenities. not doing a whole lot besides tattooing, going to bars, making fun of people, and bitching some people out. so same shit as usual. now, for your viewing pleasure... my ass:

this week has been pretty lame, not a lot going on, just working at the shop and avoiding being productive. started BBQing at the shop for the summer, so come down and hang out on fridays and saturdays FOR SURE. i aspire to drink tequila tonight... and possibly some XX or tecate. even though i hate tecate. my birthday is next week, i'm totally screwed i was counting on not living this long... fuuuuuck i'm gunna have to actually start paying off some debt, maybe. uhhhh probably not, just kidding. the insurance company decided my car was a total loss after being rear ended a few weeks ago. so that sucks cause my car is old and there not going to give me enough $$$$ to buy a good car. good news is my car still "drives" so i can use it until i save up enough for another one. i want a bike, like hardcore, i need it for rehabilitation with my knee and piece of mind through out the day (and to go to the bar, and a nother bar, then another bar...etc lather rinse repeat).

website almost done

so the back ground story is that i've had a website for a couple years, unfortunately i'm html challenged so i've had a couple people throw together a super janky site for me in the past. fortunately my friend kristen's boyfriend is an AWESOME web designer in canada and is willing to trade tattoo work for my site. its almost done, heres the mock up. eventually people will be able to buy artwork, prints and book appointments. in the intermediary its just a place to look at my lame portfolio and get directions and after care instructions.

started two new awesome neo-traditional chest pieces. ones a tribute to san diego, ones a tribute to being a hair dresser. cant wait for vegas next week and seeing some progress on my website. tonight possible block party or birthday party to attend, most def not both though cause there far away from one another. block party is not far from work, probably gunna check that shit after work. i did end up going to longboards last week, much fun. i got waaaay too drunk, molested some SLUT on the dance floor and puked up whiskey until i thought i was gunna die. raaaaad. doing a big deadpool comic book character 3/4 leg sleeve tomorrow i is stolkedness. yaaaaayyyy homies, blow shit up or shut the fuck up.
